How Membership Works

The Tar Heel connection offers three membership tiers with two payment options, offering you flexibility in how you support. Each tier has its own set of benefits plus access to exclusive content, monthly members-only sweepstakes and unforgettable fan experiences.
All memberships are annual commitments and can either be paid in full or in 12 monthly installments.

SUPPORTING STUDENT-ATHLETES

Your membership helps UNC student-athletes compete at the highest level while developing the next generation of Carolina greats. By standing behind every athlete and every team, you play a direct role in their success both on and off the field. Every membership strengthens rosters and resources that keep Carolina competitive on the national stage. When you join, you’re not just a fan - you’re helping build champions.

How The Tar Heel Connection and The Rams Club Work Together

The Rams Club supports scholarships, facilities, and gives fans the option to support a specific team of their choosing. In return, Rams Club members receive priority access to Football and Men’s basketball tickets, select community discounts, including a The Tar Heel Connection membership discount, and other benefits depending on membership level.
The Tar Heel Connection supports all 28 UNC teams with a focus on NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) opportunities for student-athletes. Members receive limited-edition merch boxes, access to exclusive content, and both in-person and virtual events designed to connect Tar Heel fans no matter where you live.
Both The Rams Club and The Tar Heel Connection are committed to supporting Carolina Athletics and empowering student-athletes. Together, these programs holistically support Carolina Athletics while staying agile in the ever-evolving college sport landscape.
